I work with adults who are seeking help in solving problems that affect them and their relationships. The first task of therapy is to clarify the issues that have prompted you to seek help, and to envision what kind of outcome or change will indicate that the problems are either solved or improved.
My approach to therapy is based on a belief that change is inevitable, and that small steps in the right direction can begin the process of creating a future in which the problem(s) are diminished. Therapy for you may involve the whole family, a portion of the family, or single individuals, depending on our agreed-upon focus. Our work together may include individual, couple, family, or group therapy. Most insurances are accepted.
Therapy is often short-term, focusing on specific changes or solutions to current concerns. Longer-term therapy focused on understanding and changing long-standing issues or patterns is sometimes appropriate for more deeply internalized difficulties.
